Heterogeneous (adjective): Consisting of dissimilar of diverse ingredients or constituents.
As I grow into a “mature, functional adult,” I find that a better term to define me (if there really is such a thing) is heterogeneous. I find that my eclectic nature has led me down a path disorganization and complicated motivation, in which I have developed creative expression to deal with.
My faith plays an integral role in much of my artwork, whether I am using it as an underlying theme or the central premise. Expressing the beauty of God’s love and hope and assimilating it with the world is where my passion lie. Surrealism plays with fantasy, cognition, and spirituality, which are realms I am interested in working in. Within my work, you find a collage of images playing off of each other to create one idea, explanation, mood, and so forth.
